Final Countdown to Takeoff!

With only a few days left in America, I decided get my blog started so all my many readers will have something to read in anticipation of my first real entry. I will use this blog to update my friends and family on my travel experiences in Uganda this semester. Please feel free to facebook or email me @ aimee.coburn@uvm.edu as well.

It has been a slow packing process over the last couple of weeks, but at this point I'd say I am 98% complete. I have been running around to REI, EMS and LLBean with my mom doing lots of buying and ordering and returning and re-ordering etc. Thank goodness Christmas and my birthday came when they did. I am very limited with the amount I can and want to bring with me, which, believe it or not, makes it a lot harder to decide what to pack. Space is even more restricted because a good amount of it is occupied by different medications. I am luckily we figured out early that I am missing 4 pills of my Malaria medication!

I have had a nice long break spent skiing and relaxing at home with my family to prepare myself for my semester abroad. I do not know what to expect, but I cannot wait! My dream of traveling to Africa is finally a reality :)
